About the Journal
Current Issue
Ar-Rahim: Journal of Islamic Studies is a journal that publishes research in the fields of Islamic propagation (dawah) and community development. The journal serves not only as a means to import community development approaches into the realm of Islamic studies, but also to export Islamic studies for dawah in Indonesia. It welcomes diverse paradigms and methodologies in Islamic and humanitarian studies: theoretical, empirical, qualitative, quantitative, and comparative-historical. Furthermore, the journal aims to encourage scholars focused on Islamic and social-humanities studies to develop and disseminate their ideas, thoughts, and research findings more deeply within the landscape of these disciplines.
Ar-Rahim: Journal of Islamic Studies is published by PT Barkah Ilmi Fiddunya in collaboration with the Islamic Higher School (STAI) Al Jami Banjarmasin. The journal is issued twice a year, in June and December. It prioritizes articles on scholarly issues and social, religious, and humanitarian phenomena facing Indonesian society, examined through mono-disciplinary, multi-disciplinary, and interdisciplinary approaches. Articles published may be in Indonesian, Arabic, or English. To maintain the quality of published articles, the editorial board rigorously selects submissions, employing plagiarism checks and involving reviewers with expertise in the respective fields."
