Abstract

The era of globalization has brought both positive and negative impacts on Islamic education. This paper aims to explore these impacts in depth. Globalization has facilitated the dissemination of Islamic knowledge across borders, leading to increased access to diverse educational resources and opportunities for Muslims worldwide. Additionally, globalization has fostered intercultural exchange and dialogue, enriching Islamic education with different perspectives and experiences. However, globalization also poses challenges to Islamic education, such as the dilution of traditional values, cultural imperialism, and the commodification of knowledge. This paper examines the multifaceted effects of globalization on Islamic education, emphasizing the need for critical reflection and adaptation to ensure its continued relevance and authenticity in the contemporary world.
