In an era of education that continues to develop, the role of teachers is not only limited to providing learning material, but they also have a big responsibility in building the character and social attitudes of their students. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the importance of developing students' social aspects as an integral part of their holistic education. This research aims to find out the role of teachers in developing social attitudes in students in the independent curriculum. This research uses the interview method as one of the methods used by researchers to collect data. Direct observations were also carried out to allow researchers to get a more in-depth picture. The role of the teacher as a guide, the teacher must develop a social attitude, namely a responsible attitude. When the teacher has given assignments to be done at home, it is hoped that students will be able to do what the teacher gives them on time and with sensitivity. Teachers have a big responsibility to educate a generation that has strong character, has positive social values, and is able to make a positive contribution to society. If teachers carry out their role with full awareness and dedication, they can bring about significant changes in the formation of students' social attitudes to a better future.
